I’m on the train to Wien right now, and should be there in about an hour. I’m leaving one important thing behind in Innsbruck, a lens cap. It slipped and rolled into the river Inn yesterday evening. How did I deal with this? I sacrificed a polarizing filter (couldn’t find a photo supply store, strangely). A new filter is significantly cheaper than a new lens. Of course, cheapest of all would have been carrying an extra lens cap. Oh well. Live and learn.
I’ve been reading the guidebook again, and am excited to see Vienna. Much bigger than anyplace else I have visited this trip, there are a lot of things to see and do. Unfortunately, there isn’t a great deal of time. Oh well, must remember to stop and enjoy the parks while there. Most importantly, though … What will I eat?
